Hotel East

The building feels a bit old, though it didn't cause me any trouble. It's a typical business hotel, set one street back from the main road, with a roomy lot that's easy to use, including the vacant lot across the street. The whole building is non-smoking, with an indoor smoking booth beside the entrance. For checkout, I left the key in the box the next morning and found my receipt on the board.

I hadn't seen a hotel leave receipts on a whiteboard before, and I really didn't like that the front desk staff seemed to consider it normal. The receipts have company and personal names on them, which some people may not be comfortable with, even if the hotel will probably take steps to cover them. Apparently they're put up in the morning. I regret choosing this hotel.

It's a quiet, pleasant place, with free breakfast and a large parking lot that can fit big vehicles.

The bed was the problem here. A bump on the headboard made it impossible to lean back against it, and I can't see what good that design does. The mattress was extremely hard, among the lowest quality I've come across at a hotel in this price range. The rest of the business hotel was perfectly adequate.
