Hotel Dream Gate Maihama

We had a good-sized room with three plus one beds, so there was space to lay out our luggage while packing. Service was great. The hotel is right next to the mall, Disney Resort Line, and Maihama station. If you arrive by vehicle, you’ll be dropped at the bus roundabout. From there, be ready to find an elevator to go up one level to the hotel lobby entrance. It isn’t very big.

There’s a mall next door with countless restaurants, plus a couple of combini’s and a supermarket by the station. Such a good location for families visiting TDL and TDS on a low budget. It isn’t Disney themed, but the hotel is right inside the JR Station. Rooms are bigger than average and clean, and the bathtub is the highlight. Even after checkout, they let us keep our luggage in a dedicated locker for free.

The room was spacious by Japanese hotel standards, with a separate bathroom and toilet, which worked well for our family with kids. I liked the instant cocoa near reception, especially on a cold winter, spring, or autumn night. Staff were great and helpful with the self check-in and check-out system. There’s also limousine bus service nearby if you’re heading to Haneda or Narita afterward. The location is strategic for either or both Disneyland and DisneySea, since it’s right beside Maihama station. You don’t have to worry about catching a train after the theme park’s last show, and it’s a pleasant stroll back to the hotel.

The breakfast was really nice and worth paying for. Beds are super single size, and there are tables and chairs. The toilet and bathroom are separate and look new. The bright interior looks fairly new as well. It’s right beside the train station, with two concierge desks at opposite ends.
