ANA Crowne Plaza Resort Okinawa Uruma Hills by IHG

Our rooms were modern, clean, and larger than at most hotels in Japan. From the hilltop there's a breathtaking view across the ocean and golf course, with a huge golf course just across from the hotel. The front desk staff were helpful and spoke English. Facilities include a huge outdoor pool, gym, public bath, karaoke, and coin laundry. Getting here takes a car or taxi, as there are no public transport options and the location isn't very accessible. Food choices and convenience stores nearby are limited. They don't provide bathrobes or an iron in the room. The balcony is huge, but having a table and chairs out there would make it nicer to sit and enjoy the view.

We noticed the service improve as the days went by. It was lacking when we first arrived, but got noticeably better during our several-night stay, which we appreciated. The spacious suite worked well for a family and felt like good value. Having a parking space included was especially convenient. We did miss having a dedicated playroom for kids. A hotel we stayed at previously in Okinawa had excellent facilities for children, so the lack of a play area stood out. Adding one would make this a better choice for families with young children. Still, it's a solid, affordable and convenient option for families.

The staff were nice and the hotel is in an amazing spot. From the balcony, the view was perfect, and I could watch the sunrise while listening to birds calling in the trees. The room was small but could've been fine if there were more space between the bed and the desk built into the wall. I had to move the chair into a corner just to get through.

The hotel has a great view, very clean rooms, and kind, friendly staff. Miss Tsuda S. was especially kind and helpful, making sure everything was perfect for our stay. We really appreciated her hospitality and how it reflected Japanese culture. We hope to come back and see Miss Tsuda S. again.
