The building is older and the rooms are small, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and tidy.

The rooms feel a little dated, but they're spotless, which I really appreciated. It's reasonably priced, within walking distance of Nankai Wakayama City Station and close to the city center. I'll make it my regular hotel from now on.

The staff were kind, polite and accommodating, and the rate was very reasonable compared with a typical business hotel. That's why I'm giving it three stars. I stayed during the Obon holiday, when the facilities' old-fashioned feel and the lack of some usual business hotel amenities stood out. I'd booked a twin room, but its air conditioning didn't work, a real problem at that time of year. My friend and I had to split up and use separate rooms. I was glad to sleep in a room where the air conditioning worked. I understand that replacing the units with a modern remote-controlled system may be hard because of the cost, but I think it would be a good idea.

The room was clean and well maintained, with a clean bed, and the bathroom and toilet were clean too. There was no bidet, but that didn't bother me. It was quiet at night, and there were disposable slippers. The room had a fridge, air conditioning, hairdryer, TV and Wi-Fi, enough for a room-only stay. I didn't book meals, so I can't comment on them. The building seemed old and felt dated, but I was able to relax. My floor didn't have air conditioning in the building's common area. The room door used a key instead of a card, and it didn't shut very well, so I also used the chain lock. The front desk staff were very kind and showed me around. There seemed to be rental bicycles, and there's a convenience store an easy walk away. It was inexpensive with sufficient facilities, and I'd like to stay again. Thank you.
