Really lovely place, with a good location and good service.
Finding a parking spot was easy, even on a Saturday, with plenty of lots nearby. We were also able to drive to Porto Europa, Kuroshio Market, Kishu Kuroshio Onsen, and Hamanomiya Beach, and had a great time. Thanks! Our family of four stayed here, and the kids loved playing hide-and-seek in the spacious area. The samue pajamas were comfortable and easy to move around in. The children's size is only 120, but it fit both my second-grade son and my older daughter, and they loved wearing them. Their legs show in the photo, but the pants are actually ankle-length. I was a little nervous since it was my first time staying somewhere without staff, but everything went smoothly. I think the lack of staff is part of why the price was so reasonable.
The inn has a comfortable modern Japanese look, both outside and in the room, since it was renovated from a shop in what seems to be the historic Misono Shopping Street. A lot of the shops there are closed now. From the second-floor window, I could look down over the street, which made for a fun and unusual stay. I found this place while looking for somewhere near Wakayama Station. It’s called "An Inn in a Shopping Street," and although it’s unmanned, the room amenities and drink selection were just right. I didn’t have any inconvenience. Next time I’m in the area, I’d like to try another inn in the same chain.
I visited on December 15, 2024, to document this unusual place. It’s above a shop on the shopping street, and the space inside is roomy. There’s no TV, and the projector wasn’t much use. The hot springs were very comfortable. The long stairs are a hassle if you have luggage. #JapanOsakaWakayamaTrip #IseJingu - A Shin Trip Review - Part 2
