Re PORT HOTEL

Lovely place, and the people are kind and warm. I highly recommend staying here while exploring the area.

It was cold during our January visit, so we slept with the air conditioning running full blast. We didn't use the bath since Kuroshio Onsen is nearby, but the nice amenities and other touches got us excited. The price was surprisingly reasonable, and we'd love to return. The guesthouse is a stylish maisonette converted from a fishing equipment warehouse, with the toilet, bath, and sink downstairs and the bedroom upstairs. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were casual, friendly, and happy to point out nearby shops.

The kids were delighted with their second-floor room, and the ocean view was wonderful. The restaurant next door was fantastic too. The owner was very kind, and there's a hot spring nearby. Thanks so much, I hope more people discover this place.

This place faces the inner bay and feels open. All the rooms are maisonettes, with an emphasis on giving guests an unusual experience, so there's no TV or Wi-Fi in the rooms. There's only a shower, meaning you have to go to Yaizu Onsen if you want a bathtub. Amenities are provided, but I was disappointed to find just a toothbrush and no toothpaste. The closest convenience store is over a 10-minute walk away, so plan ahead.
