Thank you, Hotel Sakuranbo. The room was clean, nicely prepared, and very presentable, and the staff treated me respectfully and handled everything reliably. You saved the day and helped me get ready for tomorrow with a comfortable stay. My first choice when I return to Yamagata 😀!!

The room was basic rather than fancy, but really clean, and the price was amazing. I got a great deal over the New Year holidays, and it felt totally worth it. I stayed six nights; the helpful staff suggested places to go and called a taxi for us. It’s close to the station, restaurants, and convenience stores. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re not after a fancy hotel.

On my visit to Yamagata prefecture, I stayed here for two nights and had a good experience. The hotel has the basic facilities, plus an amazing view, as shown in the pictures. It’s about a five-minute walk from the station.

I only stayed one night. The room was like a typical Japanese budget hotel, but I was surprised to find an oven and drinking water in the corridor, so I could heat up my bento.

The free Wi-Fi was slow and sometimes unstable, though I expected that. The rooms were pleasant and clean, the staff were helpful and accommodating, and I enjoyed the breakfast.
