The complimentary transfer to the famous snow monkeys made the outing easy, and the staff explained what to expect. We also loved the meals, which were fresh, beautifully presented, and full of local flavors. This family-run hotel in Yudanaka felt personal from the moment we arrived, with genuinely warm hospitality and a peaceful, scenic setting. The onsen baths were soothing and pristine, and we were given traditional clothing to wear at meals and in the baths, which added a nice cultural touch. It was a lovely mix of comfort, tradition, and friendly family service. I'd recommend it for a stay in Yudanaka.

We stayed one night while traveling around Nagano. We got there early, left our luggage, and explored until check-in. The staff were accommodating and even gave us a complimentary ride to the monkey park. Both the room, which was quite spacious, and the onsen were wonderful. The food was excellent too. I'd recommend a room with a private bath, though we also tried and enjoyed the public onsen.

We really enjoyed our stay while visiting the monkey park. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent, with traditional Japanese dishes alongside a European-style buffet. The hotel itself is beautiful and traditional, with a relaxing onsen. Our spacious, quiet room had tatami floors, Japanese-style beds, a cozy sitting area, and everything we needed. There's also a small shop on the first floor. Highly recommended!

I came mainly to visit the snow monkey park, and the hotel drove me there, picked me up, and took me to the train station, all for free. The welcome was great too. The owner greeted me at the entrance, and a staff member showed me to my room. It had tatami and other traditional decorations. Be sure to try the onsen under the open sky. Definitely worth staying.
