Room 401 really is the worst, as others have said. The open-air bath TV doesn’t work, the darts are broken, and the jacuzzi in the indoor bath is out of order. It’s a waste to pay such a high price for this. Why don’t they inspect or repair the broken equipment? I’ve stayed at hotels in other chains and never seen a room with this many things broken. On top of that, I couldn’t even order food because the equipment wasn’t working. I’m shocked.

I stayed in 401. Whether you like it probably depends on your preferences. There are some good points: it’s just a few minutes from the station and easy to get to Yokohama. Convenience stores and drugstores are close by, and Chinatown is nearby too, which makes it handy for a date night. You can borrow costumes for free, including maid outfits, nurse costumes, and kimonos. It’s an easy way to change up your look without bringing your own, though you’ll need to bring any props. Check-in is at 5 PM and checkout by noon, so the stay is longer. The TV and bed are large. But several facilities didn’t work. The open-air bath TV wouldn’t turn on, the darts wouldn’t turn on either, and the karaoke stopped before I finished the first verse. Cleaning wasn’t very thorough: the bathroom drain was clogged, there was black mold in the humidifier, and the air conditioner leaked. That much might have been forgivable, but then I spotted a cockroach on the wall during the act. It ran off.

The WiFi was extremely slow, only reaching 2Mbps, which is a problem when it’s something you need these days. The room and facilities didn’t justify the price either. After the extra fees, I paid nearly 20,000 yen, much more than the online listing said. I couldn’t bring myself to be stingy with the money because of my partner.

The food is what keeps bothering me, even though I really like this hotel and hope to keep coming back. The onion rings are shown with potatoes on the menu, but the potatoes are usually missing when I order them. Sometimes they arrive, but rarely. The omurice is just as inconsistent: some servers bring the little salad shown in the picture, and others don't, despite the same price. Mine was mostly lukewarm, with a few frozen bits left, and the fries were limp and lukewarm too. I expect a reasonable temperature and portion, especially when I'm paying for it. Could the serving be made consistent? I've stayed here several times. The other staff are truly excellent and make each visit pleasant. But the young woman at the daytime reception speaks so quietly that she's hard to hear, and she doesn't answer the internal phone, so I have to call back several times.
