Rembrandt Style Yokohama Kannai

This compact budget hotel had a lot to offer for what I needed. The beds were good, the staff helpful, and it was really convenient. It was just right for my stay.

I spent two weeks here in quarantine after entering Japan. The rooms are small but decent and clean, and the staff are really nice. Noise was the downside: I could hear other rooms very clearly, and cleaning started at 9 am, so the hallway vacuum woke me every day. I was content with the stay overall and would come back.

It was hard to find the hotel. The name got confused with another similarly named hotel in the city, so we went to the wrong one first and had to go around looking. Even the taxi driver left us by the main road in front of the building, opposite where the hotel actually is. The location isn't very tourist-friendly. The rooms were clean and well lit, but a bit small for our family of five with three small children. The beds are big and high, not ideal for kids aged 3 and under. Jonathan’s serves the buffet breakfast, which was good enough for the whole family and had several choices.

The location worked really well for me. I found parking practically next door, and it was a short walk to Kannai Station, the baseball stadium, and Chinatown. I was looking for an inexpensive place in the Yokohama area, and under 7000/night, this business hotel was just what I needed and more. The room was a good size, clean, and modern, with nice toiletries in the bathroom. The air conditioner worked well and I slept very well. Breakfast in the family restaurant on the 1st floor was a surprisingly good buffet. I'd probably stay here again if I need another night in Yokohama.
