Toyoko Inn Jr. Yokohama Isezaki-Chojamachi

The front desk staff were really friendly, polite, and helpful. The big TV was convenient too, since I could watch streaming services like U-NEXT if I had a subscription. There was also a mini kitchen, which looked useful for making something like nabeyaki udon with food from the nearby My Basket, though I didn't use it. Getting here from Bandobashi Station felt a little unsafe to me, and I was somewhat nervous walking that way at night. Coming from Isezakichojamachi Station meant passing through an area of apartment buildings, which might be a better route for women. The two stations are about the same distance away.

The room rate was very affordable, and I’d definitely stay here again on another Yokohama trip. I checked in at the end of December 2025. The room was much bigger than at other Toyokohama hotels, with an oddly spacious area, a kitchen counter, and a great fridge with a freezer. The TV could play YouTube, and I liked that the hairdryer wasn’t fixed to the wall. The room key also looked different from the ones at other Toyokohama hotels. It’s just a one-minute walk to a supermarket, with a shopping street nearby too. The downsides were that it’s a bit far from the station, breakfast was only bread, and there was just one elevator.

This Toyoko Inn is a little different from the others. Breakfast is only about five kinds of pastries, but I don't mind. If I don't finish them in the morning, I can save them for an evening snack. There's also a small kitchenette in addition to the sink, which is a nice extra. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, through a residential area, right beside a My Basket supermarket and an old-fashioned shopping street. The prices at Toyoko Inn have gone up quite a bit lately, but it’s still my first choice. I also appreciate that ten nights at my regular Toyoko Inn earn me one free night.

Breakfast is just bread and coffee, but there’s a decent variety of breads, so it should be fine if you’re not too fussy about breakfast. The rooms are the same dependable Toyoko Inn quality you get at its other hotels across Japan. This is a compact Toyoko Inn in a residential neighborhood near the Yokohamabashi shopping arcade. It’s a bit far from train and subway stations, and nearby buildings block the blue neon sign that could help you find it. Google Maps is your best bet.
