The room was a little bigger than usual, with plenty of space, though Toyoko Inn is pretty standard across locations. The check-in incident left me feeling harassed. I asked for my luggage at 2:30 p.m., and the woman at the counter was very curt. When I asked whether I should get my keycard at 3, she just handed it to me, so I thought I could go upstairs. I’d unloaded my things when someone began banging on the door. At 2:45, the manager came and said check-in was at 3 and I couldn’t be in the room yet. She then loudly said I had to pay 1000yen for early check-in, and kept asking if I would pay even though I agreed right away. I understand the language difficulty may have made communication harder, but there was no need to overreact.

I was really grateful they let me check in at 1 a.m. The hotel is close to the cruise terminal. The free breakfast was interesting to me, though everyone else seemed to think rice and dimsim was normal.

Good value, a clean room, and a terrific breakfast. The cruise port is a 10-minute walk away. Check-in is only available between 4pm and 10pm.

There are lots of restaurants around the hotel, and you can walk to plenty of tourist attractions. The room and everything else follow the same style as other Tokyo inn locations. I highly recommend this hotel for its location.

We stayed here last November before a cruise from Oosanbashi. The pier is close by, and the hotel was very clean. Everyone was friendly and kind. We’re about to take another cruise and will be staying at the same hotel again. norio K
