Yokohama Royal Park Hotel

The city view at night made the atmosphere feel perfect for a romantic stay, and the ambiance gets 10/10 from me. The staff were polite from the front desk to the concierge and doorman or bellman. We used room service, and because we had a toddler, I especially appreciated how professional and kind everyone was. Service: 10/10. The room was clean, and the toiletries, serum sachet, coffee, and tea were all provided. But it needs a better vacuuming for dust, and the bathtub should have been wiped down. There was a visible black dirt stain left from previous use. Room: 8/10. The food tasted good, but after eating in many places I wasn’t that satisfied, and the broccoli was too salty. Food: 7/10.

We’re sad to hear it’ll close for three years for renovation, but we’ll definitely stay on opening day. We love this place and come regularly. The rooms, views, staff, and food are all great, especially for a decent price in this area. The hotel was wonderful, and the staff made the stay exceptional.

I stayed on one of the Sky Resort Floor Atelier Deluxe floors and had amazing views across part of the harbor toward Tokyo. In the evening I could even see Tokyo Tower 🗼. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location worked well for a meeting or convention. You can walk through the shopping center and along the walkway to get there, though most of that walkway has no cover, so you might get rained on. The hotel connects to the shopping center, which has lots of food options.

The view over the city was amazing, and the curtains opened automatically when I entered the room, which made for a big wow moment. The room was spacious, the bed was really comfortable, and it was conveniently close to shopping malls and Sakuragicho train station. For the price of a luxury hotel, I expected the rooms to be in better shape and the service staff to seem more approachable. There were stains on the carpet and bed skirt, scratches and chips on several cabinets and the headboard, and one cabinet door was broken off its hinge.
