Business Hotel Access Kamojima

I won’t stay here again. The room was only 8 degrees because the heating didn’t work, and with the outside temperature at 1 degree during a cold snap, I was freezing even in my down jacket. Someone from my company staying there had the same problem. There was no one at the unmanned front desk to complain to. They seem not to check the facilities at all. A truly awful hotel, worth zero stars in my opinion.

My room key uses a four-digit code. For some reason the code changed, and I couldn’t get in. I called staff and they fixed it right away, so it wasn’t a big problem, but the system still makes me a little uneasy.

The room and bathroom were clean. There’s only one laundry room, though, so I had to keep checking whether it was free and eventually went to a laundromat nearby. Keep that in mind if you need to wash clothes. The location is great, right behind a convenience store with restaurants and supermarkets all around.

The building has a stylish, modern entrance, and the small front desk staff gave good service. I did miss getting an explanation about breakfast and the amenities, though. I booked for work, and Kamojima Station on the Tokushima Line is about a 15-minute walk away. If driving, look for the Family Mart at the nearby intersection; the parking lot is behind it. My room was on the second floor, reached with the card from reception. It was a bit small, as was the TV, and the ceiling-mounted air conditioner felt old and didn’t work very well. The unit bath was average, the toilet was shared, and Wi-Fi was available. Breakfast was included, but the choices were limited and the food was average. That’s understandable for a small hotel. At checkout I left the card in the box, but nobody was at reception to say goodbye, which felt a little disappointing. An average stay.
