Ravorn Villa Boutique

The pool and garden area made a lovely place to unwind after hiking and exploring caves and mountains. RaVorn Villa Boutique is beautiful and cozy, with spacious rooms and big bathtubs. The AC worked well. The doors don't seal completely, so little lizards may find their way in. It didn't bother us, but it's worth knowing. Housekeeping isn't automatic, which I appreciated; they'll clean if you ask, and fresh towels are left outside your room each day. We could hear outside noise clearly because the soundproofing could be better. There was a wedding down the street for two days. I heard the music, but as a heavy sleeper it didn't bother me. The owner was welcoming and very relaxed. The restaurant next door was a highlight, especially their kethiew noodle soup, which they'll bring right to your room. The restaurant staff were lovely too. My mom even became Facebook friends with them, which says a lot about how friendly they were. We had a great stay, and I'd recommend the place for its pool, people, and peaceful vibe.

The garden was beautiful, and the staff were extremely kind and friendly. The pool was big enough for kids, and nobody else was using it while we were there. Our junior suite had a spacious room with one king bed and one super twin bed, plus a big bathroom and bathtub. The location is far from downtown, so without a car it wasn't convenient to get to restaurants and cafes. We ate most of our meals at the restaurant right next to the hotel. The amenities were poor. I didn't expect much from local Southeast Asian hotel brands, so I brought my own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. For a family visiting Battambang, I'd recommend this resort, but make sure to rent a car.

I loved staying here. It's private and quiet, just far enough from central Battambang to escape the bustle and noise. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the courtyard and pool are filled with beautiful plants.

The restaurant food made us all sick. The kids threw up all night, with the first mess in the bed. We had to use towels to clean it so we could put the babies back to bed. The later bouts were in the bathroom among cockroaches and other bugs. Then at checkout they wanted to charge us extra for the dirty sheets and towels. Seriously? They serve food that made us ill, then charge us for vomit on the sheets. What a business model. We booked a room for three people with a baby cot available on request, but we're a family of four. There was no cot when we arrived, no fourth pillow, and they couldn't provide a fourth towel for the baby because the cleaners had gone. Run away! For a lower price, you can stay at The Sanctuary Villa. There are a few bugs there too, but the food is very good.
