The front desk and restaurant staff were both keen to make my stay comfortable. I was there for one night to visit Sambor Prei Kuk, then had an overnight bus at 9pm the following day. I only asked them to hold my luggage after checkout, but they also invited me to use the pool and shower. A shower before a 12-hour bus ride was great. They let me stay in the hotel restaurant as long as I wanted and kept bringing me tea. The hotel also arranged a tuk tuk driver for Sambor Prei Kuk, Mr. Kim Tong. He was more like a guide than just a driver, and his English was pretty good. When he saw Google Translate wasn't working well, he helped me translate and buy my bus ticket, which was a special ticket you couldn't get online. Great service, and I highly recommend both the hotel and this driver when visiting Kampong Thom.

The staff were warm and professional from the moment I arrived, and check-in was easy. They went out of their way to make the stay feel comfortable. The room was spotless, nicely decorated, and had what I needed. The bed was cozy, the window view was breathtaking, and housekeeping kept things clean and replenished the essentials each day. I also made good use of the amenities. The pool was pristine, the gym had plenty of equipment, and the restaurant served tasty food with great service. Breakfast had a wide range of fresh options. Staff seemed to care about how things were going, offered good recommendations, and always greeted me with a smile. I had a fantastic time at Kampong Thum Palace Hotel and would definitely come back. The rooms are okay, clean, and the bed is comfortable. The pool is really nice and refreshing, and the staff are friendly and speak English. The one thing the hotel can't control is the monks' chanting over speakers all around town. It's extremely loud from 4:30 to 8:00 in the morning, then the music and talking start π

For the price, itβs hard to complain. The room was clean, the AC worked very well, the WiFi was good, and the food was more than decent. The pool, though, was very green and unusable during our one-night stay.
