The mango juice was really delicious, but the food and service around my other order let me down. My passion fruit mojito came with still water instead of soda, which threw off the taste. The waiter offered to replace it, but another staff member returned with the same glass and a can of soda, suggesting I add it myself :D I left the drink and went elsewhere. The bruschetta wasn’t very good either.

The front of the place looks lovely, and I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. But I’d planned to stay two nights and ended up checking out a day early. The room hadn’t been cleaned properly: I found a cockroach on the floor, then saw another and a few other insects. The bedsheet and armchair cushions were dusty too. I’m not sure whether anyone checks the cleaning before guests arrive, and the stay didn’t meet my expectations.

The sunset views are lovely, especially with the 2 for 1 cocktails, and breakfast is freshly cooked when you order with no set time. The staff are cheerful and so helpful, and there’s good security at night too. It’s a fab, slightly quirky hotel with a great bar and a good range of drinks and food. I’d definitely stay again.

I really liked the woodwork and the quirky, cool feel of the place. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were very nice. Breakfast overlooking the river was great, and the in-room guest book had useful details about the area. I loved staying here and would come back.
