Sangkahak Mith Hotel

I wouldn't stay here again. We arrived just 15 minutes after the advertised start of the buffet breakfast and found no food. We had to ask the staff to bring some out, and they seemed surprised we expected breakfast. A group of monks, who weren't hotel guests, appeared and seemed to eat each new batch as soon as it was brought out. I don't know whether they paid, but food for paying guests should have been kept available. I paid for breakfast and barely got three different items, while at least ten other things were gone and weren't replenished. I don't care about anyone's beliefs, but this wasn't acceptable. There were ants on the dining table, flies, and a sparrow flying over our food. The hotel should be able to keep the dining area clean. What little food we managed to get was tasteless, both the Western and local options. For this price, the service was unacceptable, even by Asian standards. A very thin stray dog regularly came into the garden, and I never saw staff feed it. It seemed like the monks mattered more than a starving dog. The hotel itself was in terrible shape. There was mold in the shower, dust on the shelves, and we couldn't open the windows. The balcony door had no mosquito net, and the balcony had no chairs. There was only one chair in the room. One light kept blinking, and the toilet stopped working at one point. The hairdryer was fixed to the wall, so I had to dry my hair in a corner while dirty curtains touched me. The floor was in very poor condition, and the front door was almost impossible to open.
