Altos Hotel

It's cheap, but there were bugs everywhere, towels kept going missing, and the room smelled of cigarettes. The shower was broken, so after a really sweaty day I couldn't take a shower. A lot of basic hotel things weren't provided, and the service wasn't very accommodating.

The rooms are old and very bad, and they don't look like the ones shown on Google Maps. The washroom is in bad condition too. Everything smelled bad, and the sheets and pillows weren't clean. They should be white, but some yellow color has taken over.

The location is great, near restaurants, bars, local markets, and a short ride from attractions. The staff are nice and friendly. But our non-smoking room smelled of smoke, and the carpet was covered in other people's hair. It looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months. We kept the air conditioning set to 16 the whole stay, but it never seemed to get colder than 25 degrees Celsius. The bed had clean sheets, yet I still got bug bites. For what you pay in Cambodia, you can find much better accommodation. I wouldn't recommend this place to my friends.

We were very satisfied with our stay and would come back if we visit Phnom Pehn again. The location is good, close to everything, and it's good enough for the price, even though it isn't a perfect hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed with my kids in a big room that had everything we needed. We were on the 4th floor, across the road from a pub. The music wasn't very loud, and it stopped around 10 pm, which was acceptable. Highly recommend.
