Aloft by Marriott Seoul Gangnam

The staff are polite and helpful, but the rooms are small and not laid out very well. The bath and hand towels smell strongly of mildew. The coin laundry is just one washer and one dryer, and only the person holding the access card can use them for up to three hours. Someone might have received the card a minute or two before you, leaving you waiting as long as three hours to do laundry.

I stayed at Aloft Gangnam from 31/10 till 4/11 and the front desk staff always looked after me well. Jerry Kim was especially helpful and patient. A few times I forgot my room key card, and he replaced it for me in a friendly way each time. I'll definitely stay there again on my next visit to Seoul. Thanks again, Jerry.

The location makes it easy to get in and out of the city quickly. Breakfast had plenty of variety and was all very good. My room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and coffee, tea, and two bottles of water a day were provided free in the room. Special thanks to Mr Tony Kim, the front office agent, for helping me when I had trouble setting up my mobile phone.

I've stayed here many times over the past 10 years, and this trip the staff were especially helpful and nice. They even suggested some great restaurants. The rooms are comfortable, and if you book a king, it's a California King. It's familiar and easy, and I like how close it is to the metro and the bridges for getting an Uber. You can walk to Coex or the other way to Apgujeong.
