Amid Hotel Seoul

I arrived from the airport at 12pm in late January 2026, unprepared for the cold. Bella and Cliff welcomed me warmly and told me my room was already ready, so I could get warm well before check-in time. The room was comfortable, and the area felt very safe, with a police building right across the street. There are two convenience stores within walking distance, and the location is handy for exploring, close to the hanok village and the palace.

Sindy and another receptionist whose name I unfortunately can’t remember were wonderful. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and service clearly matters here. I’ve traveled to many countries, but rarely experienced service this outstanding. The hotel was very clean and well placed within walking distance of all the major attractions. We truly enjoyed our stay, and I can highly recommend it.

We came to celebrate New Year and walked just a block to see the ringing of the Jonggak bell. We really loved our stay and will definitely come back. The hotel is in a great spot for everything, near the old Palace Kyungbok Kyung and Jogeysa Temple, and walkable to Insadong and Myeongdong shopping district. The rooms were quiet, nicely laid out, and had a good-sized bathroom. The hotel itself is very fine and lux, and the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Andy and his team. It felt like great value for the luxurious quality, cleanliness, and convenient location. The cafe serves great coffee, and we used the washer dryer in the basement. Great amenities.

The breakfast buffet was delicious and had lots of options. You can add it to your room or pay for it there. The room was cleaned every day, which was lovely to return to after exploring, and the service was very nice. Anna and Cliff at the front desk were extremely helpful. My husband and I stayed for the holiday and had a great time. It’s a super good location, with all the good spots easy to reach on foot. Would recommend.
