D Seven Suites

We stayed five nights, from 4/7 to 4/12. Breakfast cost a little extra and was worth it, and the staff were helpful and spoke Chinese and English. Dongmyo Station is nearby, though with only two lines it isn't as convenient as Dongdaemun Cultural and History Park Station. The flea market close by is a plus, and I'd definitely consider staying here again.

During my exchange I stayed here for five months, and it was the best decision I made on that trip. The room was beautiful and well maintained, and Dongmyo station is literally one minute away. They have rentable wifi egg and provide two bottles of water a day. The staff are friendly, and they even have a super cute pet cat. I'd stay again if I get the chance.

I arrived at night on my first trip to South Korea and hadn't realized how far this hotel was from the airport. After all the YouTube videos and things I'd read about S.Korea, maybe I wouldn't have been scared, but the area looks sketchy af at night, so be warned, it's a hood-neighborhood. Inside, the staff were very efficient, though I didn't get a chance to ask their names. We went to the room, then headed out for food. My son had met me at the airport, and as we walked toward the main road looking for somewhere to eat, someone from a shop came out and invited us in. I had Bibimbap, and the lady even stirred it for me. The room was small but worked fine for a vacation, since you mainly need somewhere to rest at night. It was clean and had two twin beds, a cook top, an electric kettle, and a desk. The frosted glass bathroom wall might put some people off at first, since it can look like everything is on display, but it was all good. We only stayed one night, so I didn't get much chance to use the amenities. They do have free tea in the little eating area, and us Jamaicans still have that English influence, a cuppa tea makes it all good.

The place was clean, the service was good, and the location was convenient, but the bed wasn't comfortable. If you're carrying big luggage, avoid metro exits 7 and 4 because there's no escalator or lift. Use exit 10, which means crossing the road, or exit 3 instead. You can also take airport bus 6002, then walk about 10 minutes from the stop.
