Dongdo

The location and communication were fantastic. Self check-in and checkout were easy, and the Myeongdong main street and night market were only a few minutes away on foot, lively day and night. The Airport Limousine bus stop was also an easy walk. Free toiletries, laundry and dryer use with detergent, good hot water and pressure, and quick, helpful replies through booking.com were all appreciated. The walls are thin, so you can hear other people moving around. There was no wardrobe or hooks for clothes. Despite the recent bathroom and wallpaper renovations, we noticed a little material around the air-conditioning pipe on the wall that looked like mould. The cleaning could be better too. For the price, it's a great location.

For a basic, affordable stay, this place is in a great spot. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby, and Myeongdong night market is about a five-minute walk away. The metro station is just four minutes on foot.

The staff were all really nice, and the hotel was spotless with a lovely-looking interior. Breakfast is free, and there’s laundry available too. It’s also easy to get around by different kinds of transport, with lots of shops and places to eat nearby. I loved my stay at SSH Dongdo Hotel!

The room felt stuffy with no ventilation, and the shower vent seemed to pull air up from the sewage. There was mold and mildew throughout: the room smelled moldy, the fridge was moldy and didn’t work, and there was a water stain on the carpet. The bathroom walls, air vent, and toilet bowl were moldy too. Water leaked from the bathroom ceiling, the shower appliance needs replacing, and the internet was very slow, around 360p for YouTube.
