Fairmont Ambassador Seoul

One drawback is that nearby train stations aren't very accessible, so you’ll probably need an Uber to get around. That may be fine for Seoul, though. The hotel makes shopping and eating out easy, with direct indoor access to The Hyundai Seoul, including its mall and food court. During our stay in Yeouido, service was attentive and professional, and the pool, fitness facilities and relaxing spa areas added a lot. The rooms were modern, spacious and well equipped, with the polished luxury feel you’d expect from the brand. It was a comfortable, seamless visit, and I’d definitely return.

The downstairs pastries and bakery were really good, and breakfast was excellent, with a generous spread of Korean and Western food. I stayed in a suite at Fairmont Seoul for a couple of nights and had a great time. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, polite and respectful throughout. The gym was fine for a quick workout on a holiday or business trip, though the equipment wasn’t outstanding. Staff were always on site keeping everything clean, and the towels were a nice touch. I’d happily return on a future trip to Seoul.

The comfort, facilities and general atmosphere were excellent, and I’d still recommend Fairmont Hotel Seoul if I visit again. I’d just checked out of room 2613 after two nights and was leaving that morning. A few things went wrong: the hotel emailed me using someone else’s English name, and the welcome card in my room also had another person’s name. There were two sauna vouchers in the envelope, but the gym counter staff said they’d expired when I tried to use them. That led to an awkward misunderstanding, as if I were trying to use expired vouchers, even though it was my first visit and the hotel had put them in the envelope. I don’t think errors like these should happen at a hotel of Fairmont’s level. Even so, the standard room was very comfortable. Breakfast was complimentary and generous, and the restaurant and rooftop bar staff were outstanding. The basement gym had free InBody body composition measurements, and both the gym and swimming pool were excellent.

The breakfast buffet the next morning was impressive. Staff were friendly, attentive and quick to refill anything that ran low, and the dining room, its view and the atmosphere were excellent. We’d booked a suite at Fairmont Hotel Seoul for our wedding night. Since family were visiting Korea for the occasion, we couldn’t travel, so we treated ourselves to a memorable night in the heart of Seoul. From arrival, the front desk team made us feel welcome with their warmth and thoughtful congratulations. The suite was stunning, spotless and luxurious, with a lovely view of the surrounding buildings. Comfort and elegance seemed to have been considered in every detail. On the table we found a beautiful bottle, Korean delicacies and a greeting card personalized and signed by the General Manager. It meant a lot to us. It was a fantastic way to celebrate our wedding, and we’ll certainly be back.
