It's lovely to sit outside in the evening when the weather's cool, have a drink, and wind down. Breakfast was simple but more than enough to start the day: toast and spreads, boiled eggs, cup noodles, soymilk, juices, and more. The owner was kind and answered all my questions. He's quiet, but was ready to help. Walking routes and nearby places to eat were posted on the kitchen walls and main door. We tried Smith Hanok (Smith Hanok), a nearby place serving Italian-Korean fusion, and it was delicious. He also kindly let my elderly parents rest in the living hall long after checkout while we waited for our airport taxi. The traditional house is quaint, quiet, and in a great spot, less than a five-minute walk from Gyeongbokgung palace, with a nice park nearby. Our room was cozy and clean. There was no toothbrush, and the towels were small, though you could ask for extra ones. Other utilities were provided. I have back issues, so the foldable mattress was too thin for me. I hope to return and ask for an extra mattress 😅

The manager was patient and helpful. He let us collect our luggage very late in the evening and kept safe a watch I'd left behind in the room. We had ramen and bread to choose from at breakfast. Our single room for two was cozy, but the bathroom was outside it. The double rooms have their own toilets. There are three rooms in total, two doubles and one single. We chose this Hanok for the experience and because it's close to Geongbokgung palace and the Bukchon Hanok access. It's easy to reach from the main road, in a quiet area. A great experience to have on a Seoul trip.

The owner was so kind and helpful, and we slept really well. Staying in a traditional Hanok in such a great area was a unique experience. There were lots of museums, restaurants, and culture around. I'd definitely stay again.

The breakfast was filling, with toast, eggs the owner cooked for us, noodles, cereal, different kinds of milk, fruit juices, and shakes. Our room was small, since it was just my sister and me, but I loved the hardwood smell. The weather was shifting from summer to fall, chilly and a bit warm at once, so it was nice to spend time in the little courtyard. We wanted a different kind of stay, and this Hanok-style place delivered. The owners and people in charge were really nice. We arrived before check-in, and the owner let us leave our things inside. He asked us not to ring the bell if we came early so we wouldn't disturb the other guests. It's right in the heart of the Old Town, in a Hanok village area, near Gyeongbukgong, Changdeokgong, Insadong, Gwangwhamun Square, and Cheonggyecheon Stream. The stay felt straightforward, and I'd book it again.

I was near the street and I'm sensitive to noise when I sleep, but I had no trouble resting. The cushions were comfortable, and the traditional Korean interior was picturesque. Underfloor heating kept me warm even with -7°C weather outside. The bathroom had heated floors too, and the water was warm with good pressure. The place is in a very safe neighborhood, with historical spots like the palaces about 20-30 minutes away on foot. The host and his wife were kind, attentive, and helpful, and I enjoyed chatting with them and getting their tips. Thanks to them for such a great stay. If you're considering it, go ahead, it's a treat. Fun fact: This place is featured in the music video Falling Blossoms.
