I had to cancel my trip because of a serious issue affecting my international flight, even though I’d booked a stay here. The reservation was normally non-refundable, but the hotel reviewed what happened and kindly approved a full refund. They were polite, quick, and professional throughout. That experience has made me even more eager to visit Korea, and I plan to stay here when I travel in November. Thanks again for being so understanding and for the great customer service.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable, so I slept well during my three nights in Seoul. The hotel is well kept, and the location near Myeongdong Station and the shopping streets made it easy to go out for food or shop in the evening. Exit 10 is a short walk but has stairs. With big luggage, Exit 1 is the only Myeongdong exit with an elevator; you have to cross the street, though it’s still close. There’s also a short flight of stairs up to the second floor where you’ll need to carry your bags. The room is smaller than it looks in the photos. A 25-inch suitcase is almost impossible to open all the way, and even a large 91-inch-open case leaves little room in the aisle. It’s worth thinking about luggage space, especially if you’re traveling as a pair or packing light. The hotel’s photos do show the room accurately, so use your own judgment about the space. Check-in and checkout are through self-service kiosks and were simple. At check-in, use the English name of the first guest on the booking to collect the key, then drop it back in the kiosk when leaving. You only get one key per room, which could be awkward if your group splits up. There are water dispensers, and disposable items like toothbrushes are available in the shared areas if needed, despite the hotel’s environmental measures. The room also has a fridge and kettle. During my stay, the dispensers outside ran short of hot water, so keep that in mind if you want a hot drink. The location, cleanliness, and convenience were all good value for the price. I’d stay again for a short visit and recommend it to anyone wanting to be near Myeongdong.
