Getting to Hamilton shopping mall and Itaewon station was easy, and the location worked well. I did find the management a little disorganized: one staff member didn’t realize I’d already checked in. The bigger issue was hearing guests referred to as “that guy” or “German guy” instead of by their names. Also, although there’s a code on the front door, it was left wide open, so anyone could enter the dorms and shared living room or kitchen. Mosquitoes could get in too.

Camilla made me feel welcome, and the place was spotless. Of the six hostels I stayed at during my two-week trip, this was the best. There are several common rooms, plus a kitchen and TV. I only had one night here and really enjoyed it. I would’ve stayed longer if I hadn’t already booked somewhere else. 😁

The staff were great when we got stuck trying to book a bus for the next leg of our trip. They were flexible and helped us out a lot.

I’d recommend this place to anyone traveling solo. Most of the people staying here seemed to be solo travelers too. The manager, mr.black man, was seriously awesome, one of the coolest people I met in korea. I’m sad I didn’t get to say goodbye, and I never caught his name 🥲
