Hotel President

The room was a decent size and the hotel was in a great spot. The lobby was spacious, clean, and nice, and the facilities were clean too. The staff I met were friendly and usually greeted us when we came in. The timing was the frustrating part: after landing at 6am with no sleep on the plane, I paid 22k to check in two hours before the 3pm check-in. Checkout was 11am, and staying three extra hours cost another 33k. I wish they’d let us into an available room early, at least one of the three rooms we’d booked for a whole week.

There’s plenty to eat nearby, including an underground food court right outside, McDonald’s across the road, and options for a late-night snack. The subway is also a very short walk away, and the airport shuttle stop takes only a few minutes to reach. The hotel is right by Lotte Dept Store, so the location is really convenient. I asked for one of the newer rooms with wooden floors and was very happy with it. The hotel has a lovely scent when you walk in, and they’ll store your luggage for you. There’s a laundry room with detergent, plus charging cables, wine glasses, and an ironing board. One small hassle was needing to change lifts to get to the 20th floor. The concierge and the man at the door were very kind about helping with our bags, especially since the hotel sits on a slight slope.

The reception was nice and the room was decent, in a very central location. There’s a laundromat with modern machines that take Visa or MasterCard. You can also buy detergent from an automatic dispenser there and pay by card. A CU convenience store is about two minutes away.

The location was great, and the rooms were very nice. Our group booking got confusing because of the names on the reservation, so our daughter, who is Korean and speaks fluent Korean, had to sort it out. The male desk clerks were very rude. Under a UV torch, the bathroom looked quite dirty. Even so, the hotel was quite nice overall, and we would recommend it.
