I stayed in the Fairy room, where the sleeping area has a low ceiling, about 1mtrs high. It felt cramped and could use some fixing up, including curtains to block the view from outside. The water temperature also kept changing. The common room was lovely, especially the little desk-style seats facing a full window onto the street. The owner is very kind and tries to help where possible. Since the hostel is out in the suburbs, it’s quiet, and there are two bus stops very close by. The subway is an option too if you’re up for a longer walk. A decent place to stay in Seoul.

Sanitary authorities found the guesthouse in violation of serious hygiene and maintenance standards, as well as property safety requirements. I also experienced an invasion of privacy myself. The Korean Tourist Center apologized for the guesthouse’s misconduct, but I’m deeply disappointed that the host still hasn’t taken responsibility or apologized personally.

The shared spaces are really comfortable, and the host was so nice that she lent me her umbrella during a sudden downpour. My room had a great bathroom with strong water pressure, and I had everything I needed for my stay in Seoul. It’s in a quiet little neighborhood just on the edge of Hongdae, with easy access to good restaurants, cafes, shopping, and transit. 😊🙏🏼🇰🇷
