I booked through Agoda two months ahead, then realized the next day that I hadn't checked my travel dates carefully. I contacted Jeongstay Hostel to cancel, expecting it to work like many Agoda listings that allow free cancellation until a few days before check-in. Instead, the hostel has a strict 90-day cancellation policy and wouldn't waive the fee, even though I had only just booked and the dates were still months away. That left me disappointed with their customer service and put me off recommending the place. It's a hostel, not even a full hotel, and I wish there had been some flexibility. I'm leaving a 1-star review on Agoda too.

We booked a quad room, which was very large, so there was plenty of room to open our suitcases. The room felt a bit old. The hostel is only a two-minute walk from Exit 2, which is really convenient for shopping in Hongdae. The owner arranged for someone to collect the trash and bring fresh towels each day. There are two elevators, one for even floors and one for odd floors. During our stay, the even-floor elevator was under maintenance, which was inconvenient since we were on an even floor ๐ . Also, anyone can enter the building and use the elevator.

Mia, the manager, was so helpful and nice. I really enjoyed my stay at Jeong stay. The room was spacious, and they took out the trash and changed the hand towels every day.

Getting in and out was easy with the password lock. The host was kind and spoke English, and the room was clean and large. It's right in the center of the Hongdae area.
