Mondrian Seoul Itaewon

The corner suite was spacious and very comfortable, a great place to relax after long days in the city. The Mondrian Seoul is new, modern, and beautifully designed, and the team was attentive and professional throughout my stay. Concierge Jenny Park and her team deserve special thanks for being so helpful and going above and beyond to work small miracles with everything I needed. The hotel is in Itaewon, close to what the neighborhood has to offer. A flawless stay for me, truly 10/10.

The contemporary, tasteful feel of the hotel was done really well, and Cleo Restaurant and Rumpus Room had decor to match their wonderful food and drinks. My wife and I picked Mondrian Seoul Itaewon for our second trip to Seoul, to celebrate her birthday and Valentine’s Day. The service and rooms were top level. After a day out exploring, coming back to a hot shower, robes, and a comfortable bed was such a treat. We'd highly recommend it whether it's your first trip to Seoul or your hundredth.

The room got extremely hot in winter, around 24C-27C, which wasn't good for sleeping. There was no AC, and when I called for help, staff suggested opening the windows and brought a fan. That made it more bearable, but not comfortable. The shower and bathroom design was odd, and I had to clean the floor after each shower. The lifts were very slow too, taking me about five whole minutes to get from the lift lobby to the first floor. I won't be back in winter, though the stay wasn't too bad overall. The hotel itself is beautiful, with shops easily accessible in the basement. Staff were friendly, helpful, and gave great service. It was about a 15 minute walk to Itaewon station and 30 minutes to Hannamdong, with cute cafes and shops along the way. The central but quiet location suited me. Breakfast was great, especially the morning porridge section.

Mondrian Seoul Itaewon had a lively, stylish feel, and I found myself heading out clubbing on several nights because Itaewon's streets were so close. Coming back late was easy, with the neighborhood's energy seeming to carry right into the hotel. The gym was spacious and well equipped, and the indoor pool and sauna were a calm break. Altitude Pool & Lounge, breakfast at Cleo, and cocktails at Rumpus Room rounded things out, especially with the suite benefits. I stayed in the Suite City King, a thoughtfully laid out 44 sqm suite with a separate living room and big picture windows over the neighborhood. It was bright and uplifting during the day, then cozy in the evening. The soaking tub was a nice contrast to the activity outside. The SIMMONS Beautyrest mattress, Grown Alchemist amenities, and Bluetooth speaker added comfort and a playful touch. The design feels very Mondrian, bold and artistic. The lobby and public spaces are expressive, the kind of places where you want to linger, meet friends, dress up, and stay out a little longer. Attentive service, a strong personality, and that location made the stay feel distinctly alive.
