Good value, and especially handy for Muslim tourists: it’s really close to Seoul Central Mosque and halal restaurants. The employee was nice and helpful. Wifi, hot water, showers, toilets, washing machines and an iron were all available and working well. It’s up on a hill, so wear comfortable shoes 😁

The location worked really well for getting around. Itaewon Subway station, the Airport Bus Stop and a regular bus stop are close, and it’s fairly central for places like Gyeongbokgung, Gangnam, Namsan and Myeongdong, with little or no transfer. From the guesthouse, it’s an uphill walk from Itaewon station or the bus stop, so with a large suitcase you may want to take a cab. Muslim travelers will find Seoul Mosque and the Muslim community nearby, along with halal Korean, Turkish, and Malayan-Indonesian food at reasonable prices. GS-25 and 7/11 are close too. Our room was heated well when we stayed at the end of winter in March. The guesthouse itself was smaller than others in the area, but our clean room had loads of space. My sister and I could open both suitcases and still sit on the floor with our shoeboxes and shopping bags. We had a private bathroom that was clean, with good water pressure and easy temperature control. The kitchen was clean too, and we could put together a simple breakfast of bread and jam or cereal, with milk, coffee or tea. MJ was a kind, welcoming host. He lent me a laptop when I had a work emergency, let us leave our bags in the building before check-in and after checkout, and kept in touch by email during our stay. I’d recommend this place for a comfortable room at a good price.

For Muslim travelers, the location in Itaewon is a big plus: the mosque is very close, halal food is everywhere, and Itaewon subway station is five minutes downhill. Everything felt surprisingly near. The guest house was clean and comfortable, as good as a hotel, and the owner was friendly. He even carried our heavy luggage up to the room after our tiring trip from Incheon Airport to Seoul. There’s no closet, just two hangers and a small towel, so bring extra hangers and your own towel if you’re sharing with friends or family. The building may not show up in Google Maps street view because the photo was taken in April 2015 and it’s a new building. Highly recommended, especially for Muslim travelers.

The room is very comfortable, and the two shower booths are good. It’s a guest house with shared toilets and bathrooms, though it feels more like a small hotel. If you’re on a tight budget and want somewhere private, this is a great fit.
