Ocloud Hotel Gangnam

I chose this place while recovering from surgery, and it worked out really well. The location meant I could get to my clinic in just a few minutes. Staff were friendly, and my room was very clean. The room service setup was simple: one switch for cleaning and another for privacy. On days I stayed in, they left clean towels outside when I didn’t want to be disturbed. I could also leave my luggage before check-in and after check-out, which freed me up before heading to the airport. For a basic room with air conditioning and things like a hairdryer, microwave and kettle, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here.

My room was spacious, clean, and had a nice view. Just know the kitchen has no equipment at all, not even plates or cutlery, which felt really odd. The Gangnam location is convenient, and the front desk team were helpful. Service was good.

Room 710 was broken. The AC didn’t work, and the freezer in my refrigerator was dead, so I couldn’t even make ice. The lobby told me I could open a window, but I said that wasn’t enough. The website says there’s AC, and my neighbors confirmed theirs worked. The front desk lady said they only have heat in winter, yet the lobby was blowing cold air. They’re trying to pee on me and tell me it’s raining! I can’t believe this!!!

The shower leaked even with the door shut, and the wallpaper in the rooms was cracking and peeling. There was only one USB port in the whole room, with no charging port, plug, shelf, or table near the bed. They had instant coffee but no sugar or creamer. I also had to wait a long time at the front desk while one staff member dealt with a dispute. This didn’t feel like a four-star hotel. I’d have been fine if it had been advertised as two stars.
