Philstay Myeongdong Station

We booked a family room for four nights. It wasn’t very big, but it fit four medium suitcases and one carry-on, though we couldn’t open them all at once. The beds were on the firm side but comfortable, and the pillows were soft. The toilet and shower are separate, and the toilet has a bidet. Towels, shampoo, and body wash were provided. Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. The male and female receptionists were very nice and accommodating, and we could leave our luggage before check-in and after checkout. There was no deposit. We also got free use of a hot and cold water dispenser. We couldn’t hear street noise, and before we left they gave us snacks and sheet masks. The location was especially handy for taking the Incheon Airport Limousine Bus to Myeongdong. It’s also close to the meeting points for day tours such as DMZ and Nami Island. This place exceeded my expectations. I’d recommend it and would definitely come back.

We had a standard room with two beds. It was small, but the bathroom and toilet were separate. The service was great. We only needed to speak with anyone at check-in, check-out, and when asking reception where the restaurants were. There are lots of malls, shops, and restaurants nearby, so there’s plenty to do.

The location made getting around easy: Myeondong station is about a 2-minute walk away, there are plenty of places to eat nearby, and the airport bus stop is 5 minutes on foot. The money changer on the hotel corner had good rates. Even with the busy streets outside, I didn’t hear city noise in my room. The bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. The room is VERY SMALL. I was travelling solo and still found it cramped to pack and unpack one 28-inch suitcase, though I knew what to expect and it didn’t bother me much. The bathroom is tiny too, and gets wet all over after a shower. They do provide a big towel and shower amenities. There was air conditioning, a TV I didn’t use, and heated flooring. In the shared lounge, you’ll find a microwave, water, coffee, and a fridge I didn’t use. The electric stove didn’t seem to work during my stay. I’m especially grateful to the kind woman at reception, who let me use the staff toilet and laundry room after checkout when I came back for my left luggage. I needed to pray before catching the airport bus, and her consideration made the trip much easier. I’d definitely return. For a budget stay with a clean, comfortable room, I’d recommend it.

The room was small, and the walls were a little thin, but they provided earplugs. There’s a washing machine and dryer available for a fee. The front desk staff were very helpful and the service was excellent.
