The rooms are on the small side, but they felt cozy and comfortable, with sleeping mats. I liked the traditional Hanok experience, and the staff were friendly and the food was good. The neighborhood has plenty of shops and cafes and feels lively. Insadong and the palace are within walking distance, and the train station is about five minutes away. It can be tricky to find the place the first time.
I first saw this place on TV in China. When my friends came to Korea, we stayed here together, wore traditional Korean clothes, and had Korean meals. There was even a tea set in the room. Everything had been prepared with the kind of care you'd expect at a hotel. My friends still talk about the place after going home, and they've put photos of themselves wearing the clothes here on their profiles. I was so happy I got to introduce them to it!
