Top Hotel N Residence Insadong

I got a free supply of water, and the place was close to the metro and lots of food and shopping. My room had enough room to store my luggage, sleep, shower, and get dressed, despite all the reviews saying it was small with no storage. Sure, it wasn't spacious, but it's in Asia and rooms are small. The mattress was the best I slept on in Asia, including Taiwan and Japan. I'd recommend it to a solo traveler in a heartbeat!

The hotel is affordable and sits between Ikseon-dong, a hanok village with lots of chic restaurants and bars, and Insa-dong, with plenty of local eateries and pojangmacha. Many sights are easy to reach on foot or by public transport. The staff were very friendly, there's free water, and the sun roof was a great spot to have a beer at night. The shower let me down. Its temperature kept swinging from scorching hot to almost cold, and with no curtain, it flooded the whole bathroom.

The room was small but had everything I needed. I didn't need to boil water or do laundry during my eight-night stay, and it was quiet. I loved the strong stream from the shower. Shops, restaurants, metro, buses, and the airport shuttle were all very convenient to reach. Bottled water and towels were available without limit at the front desk. All four staff members across different shifts were very friendly. The weekday staff member, who commuted an hour by metro, especially showed strong work ethic and integrity. The service and value made this feel like a hidden gem. I added a 13-second video of the room. The wet bathroom floor without a shower curtain didn't bother me. It was a very comfortable, pleasant stay!

The staff were very friendly and always accommodating. Rooms were consistently clean, and it was easy to get around by train to almost anywhere. The location right in ikseondong is ideal for exploring the area, and Jongno 3 ga station is within walking distance.
