I enjoyed the communal breakfast, which brought together travelers from Korea, Australia, and Taiwan. The owner makes it at home, and it’s simple but delicious. They were quick to reply by email, with impeccable written English. This is a lovely traditional guesthouse, made warm and cozy by its green central yard, friendly owner, and shared space. The facilities are humble because the building is old. It’s well placed for visiting Seoul’s more traditional and historic areas. I’d come back.

The host was great, and my friends and I had a lovely stay in this hanok. There’s a home-cooked breakfast each morning in the shared living room. It’s convenient, about 10 minutes from the subway, and roughly an hour by express airport bus. There are lots of food options close by, and Gyeongbokgung is nearby too. I’d definitely return if I could.
