Western Coop Residence Dongdaemun

We booked this at literally midnight on Agoda, the night before we arrived, after political protests in Anguk meant we had to move hotels. It turned out to be a fantastic choice and covered all our needs. We paid about USD110 a night. The room had plenty of floor space to open our luggages flat, plus a kitchenette with a mini fridge, kettle, microwave, and floor heating. The airport subway stops in front of the hotel, which was the icing on the cake. The subway was about a 10-minute walk via an underground walkway, and an airport bus stop was right outside. We were within walking distance of many malls, the DDP, and lots of food options, with a CU right downstairs. The room was soundproof well enough that we only heard noise with the window open. There’s coin laundry available on 4 floors, at 2000won per use, and a coin changer. Staff spoke English well enough, and we could leave our luggage in the lobby if we arrived early. 100% recommended, and we’d stay again if we visit Korea next time!

The location is unbeatable, with the metro just steps away, an airport express bus stop right in-front the hotel, and a 24/7 supermarket downstairs. Even though it’s central, the room was quiet. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, too. We had a spacious room with everything we needed, including kitchenware, a microwave, and an electric kettle. The shower was great. We stayed in a twin room, and the beds were firm but comfy. We still slept really well, and extra pillows were available on request. The place was super clean. Towels were changed daily and the bed linens twice a week, which was perfect for our nine-night stay. The staff were incredible, super kind, helpful, and always happy to assist. Their recommendations and help made a real difference to our stay. Amazing people and a great hotel. We’re definitely coming back. 10/10, and thank you so much!☺️

The hotel was handy for Myeongdong shopping street, supermarkets, the AirPort Bus and other nice places. I’d recommend staying here in Seoul. My flight was delayed by a whole day the night before checkout, and the hotel was fine with extending my room reservation, which I really appreciated. The employees were polite, especially the very friendly cleaning lady. The room had a kitchen with utensils, cups, bowls and two pans for heating things, plus a hair dryer in the closet. Nee towels were provided daily.

There was an issue with my booking, but the team handled it carefully and put my well-being and satisfaction first. I was really impressed with the customer service and highly recommend this residences hotel. I’m looking forward to staying here on my next visit.
