The rooms are very big and the price is reasonable. There’s a sewage smell, though, which is common in Seoul. I thought the place was good until we found somewhere closer.

It’s in a great location, and the room was comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helped us book our DMZ tour. The common areas could be cleaner and less cluttered.

I liked the low price and how close it is to the train station. A convenience store is right around the corner, and there’s a Lotte grocery a couple of blocks away. There’s also a really good Korean Barbecue restaurant nearby.

We were left stranded in the middle of the night. Our booking had been confirmed, and we’d noted an expected arrival around 2300-0000, but all we found was a message telling us to go to kimchi guest house. They couldn’t take us either. By then it was nearly 0200-0300, and the answer was simply “NO.” We’re very disappointed with the service. I do appreciate the two people who eventually accommodated us and kept apologizing for what YAKOREA Hostel had caused.

The room was roomy enough for three, and the service was good. The toilet was old, though, and already blocked when we arrived.
