Burasari Heritage Luang Prabang

Pocky kept checking that we were comfortable, and she was so caring. She even wrote us a letter. P.K. was just as helpful, always greeting us with a smile and asking if we needed anything. The staff made this place extra special for me. The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, comfortable, and clean, with fast, steady WiFi. They offer lots of complimentary things, including beer, soft drinks, welcome drinks, and snacks. Breakfast was a huge highlight, the best I’ve ever had. This is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed at in South Asia. I highly recommend it, and hope you have as great a time here as we did.

The wood throughout the rooms gives the hotel a 1920s feel, and the overall design is beautiful. From Burasari Heritage Hotel, you look out over the Nam Khan River, a lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. It’s right in the heart of Luang Prabang’s old city. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and arranged my trips to Nong Khiaw and the airport without any problems. Phaeng and Somair were especially helpful. The breakfast was wonderful, and the food was good too. I hope I can return someday.

The wooden design felt true to Luang Prabang, and I loved the comfortable, generously sized bed, stylish open shower, complete toiletries, and lovely river view. There was plenty of balcony space to relax in the afternoon, though the room was a little dim in the morning because natural light was limited. Staff were consistently kind, and the breakfast team made each meal pleasant. Breakfast portions were generous, with a bread and pastry buffet plus dishes made to order. Free bikes were a nice bonus. The hotel can arrange tours, but the prices are a little higher than booking elsewhere. Amenities are limited: no pool or gym, and water is limited to two bottles a day. There’s a spa next door that seems to be under the same management, and guests get a discount. The location balances easy access with some distance from the crowds. The river is across the road, the market and foot of Mount Phoussi are a 10-minute walk away, and the famous temples are under five minutes away. At night, there can be a noticeable smoky smell, possibly from logs burning on the island across the river, which was uncomfortable at times. They welcomed us with a tasty, healthy drink. I had a comfortable stay in a charming place, but expected more amenities for the price.

Everything in our room was immaculate and felt high quality. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the thoughtful little touches made the experience worth it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. This hotel was the highlight of our stay!
