Phanhthasone Guesthouse

The owners and their family were so kind and wonderful, and the location was excellent, just two minutes from the nightmarket and a few steps from a corner store for drinks, snacks, or whatever you need. Our room had a lovely river view and was quite soundproof with the windows closed. It was clean and comfortable, with great pillows and a cozy blanket. The shower always had hot water, the plumbing worked perfectly, and they provided water, coffee, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. A wonderful stay!

It's in a great spot near the Mekong river, just a quick walk from the night market. Unfortunately, there was a moldy smell in the guesthouse, water dripped from the ceiling, some furniture was falling apart, including the toilet, and the water smelled bad.

The location is very handy, close to the night market, and the reception staff were friendly. We paid 250 kip per night after getting a discount for a three-night stay. The usual offer was 300 kip for a private room with either two twin beds or a double bed and its own bathroom. The guesthouse looks rather old, with wallpaper that isn't especially nice, and ground-floor rooms get no sunlight. There was also noisy construction right next door. Still, it was the cheapest private room we could find in town.

I arrived to find that the guesthouse I'd originally reserved was overbooked and full, which was really annoying. Luckily, Phanh Tha Sone took me in right away. It was calm, quiet, clean, simple, had good wifi, and was a great price. The location is excellent, right beside the Morning Market and just a few minutes' walk from the Night Market and main attractions. They offer free hot and cold water refills. I didn't notice breakfast or fruit like before, but that was okay. Best of all, the manager, Thuy, is kind and friendly, speaks perfect English, and was happy to answer any question. Nice stay.
