The staff are very, very kind, and I would stay here again. But the rooms aren’t insulated well. You can hear people walking and shutting their doors, and it gets loud with a lot of banging. I wish the rooms were better soundproofed.
I booked a non-smoking room, but it smelled strongly of smoke. When I asked to switch rooms, they wanted to charge me 140.000kip extra. Very bad service. I won’t come back.
The bathroom had a smell, and light comes through a glass frame that can’t be darkened, so the windowless room stays bright all the time. On the good side, it was clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the shower worked well.
The hotel is clean, quiet, and soulless. It’s right across from the bus station, which is very convenient. The town feels despondent and depressing, about a 10-minute tuk tuk ride away.
Good value and a central location, with clean rooms. The food and drink menu is limited.
