I had a pleasant stay at this small hotel tucked away from the main path, yet close to the airport. The room had its own bathroom and a good shower, plus a kettle, dishes and cutlery, microwave, and fridge, so I could cook. There was also an online delivery option through the hotel, which came in handy. The bed was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked decently. The woman who welcomed me was very friendly, chatty, and kind. I could sit outside with other travelers, have a beer, and relax in the midday sun. The man of the house was friendly too, and drove me to the airport for a small fee. My only real issue was the old wooden window that wouldn't shut properly. A few nights, mosquitoes ate me alive.

There's a bar on site for a cold beer, and a lovely dog to chat with. It's close to the airport; I walked there in 30 minutes, though a cheap taxi for about 50,000 Kip makes sense with lots of luggage or if you're worried about dogs, mostly friendly, or unfriendly geese. Ask for a soft mattress if that's how you sleep best. They also have hard ones, in keeping with typical Laos bed preferences, and I slept well in the soft-mattress room.

The staff were very helpful and kind, and during my month-plus stay they really tried to keep long-term guests happy. Still, my overall rating is very poor. Two rooms had bed bugs in September, and someone who died in a room wasn't discovered for two weeks. Some of the long-term residents were very troublesome. I left in November and would never return.

It's a nice place where they pay attention to a lot of things, and delivery is available even though it's a bit far from "civilization." The owners are francophone 👍

The landlord is awesome and really nice. The place is cheap, safe, and fully furnished.
