Best Western Vientiane

Breakfast was very good, and the hotel is right in the centre of Vientiane, within walking distance of the night market and many temples. The rooms keep outdoor noise out well, but corridor sounds carry through.

Whenever I’m on a business trip in Vientiane, this is still my first choice. It’s in a strategic spot, the rooms and amenities are comfortable and affordable, and I enjoy the breakfast and transport arrangements. I really appreciate the top-notch service and hospitality from the SureStay Vientiane staff.

We loved our stay here, split between three nights at the start of our Laos trip and the final night. The hotel kindly stored our luggage in between. It’s right by the city hub, with restaurants close by and the night market just a minute away. Our room on the sixth floor was spacious and well kept, and the balcony had a decent city view. Breakfast was just right each day, with plenty to choose from, plus a live menu for basic egg dishes and local soups. The staff were helpful and quick to respond, especially Tartar at reception, who was a big help during our stay. I’d recommend it for families and business travellers visiting Vientiane.

The room was mediocre, the shower smelled bad and had cockroaches, and the place was so loud I could hear construction and guests walking around all night. If you want to sleep, definitely don’t stay here. At checkout they inspected the room and charged us for a missing hairdryer bag we never saw. The front desk woman treated us terribly, and they added hidden fees to the bill that hadn’t been disclosed when booking. The hotel treats guests badly and shows no respect. It’s the worst hotel in Vientiane. There are many better places for the price. Stay away.
