Lily Hotel Vientiane

The staff are nice, and the room facilities are good for the price. But the mosquitoes are unbelievable. Looks like we're in for an itchy night.

Nice, good room, and the staff were helpful, especially the four receptionists and the maid. Khaenphemg, Chanya, Bouakeaw and Thee were kind and accommodating. I recommend this place, and I'll come back if I ever visit Vientiane again.

A nice place to stay in Vientiane, in a good location.

From the outside, this looks like a nice, decent local hotel, but the problems showed up once I checked in. It's a four-storey walk-up, so be ready to carry your own luggage; nobody offered to help. The aircon remote wouldn't pair with the unit. After I called reception twice, no one came, so I went downstairs. Their advice was to switch it off if it got too cold, which meant we slept with it at the maximum temperature all night. The toilet light was very dim, the shower head was hanging loose because its holder didn't hold it, and the toilet tank cover was missing. This isn't a well-run hotel, more like a shack. Stay away.
