Vientiane Garden Villa Hotel

The cobwebs could use a cleaning, but the rooms had all the amenities, and the staff at perfect were friendly and helpful. There’s a cozy lobby by the garden pool where you can relax or have a beer, and they can help with visas and connect you with taxis. The hotel is well placed near the main street, with lots of room for morning or evening walks. Beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was fine for the price and room. The pool is pleasant, and breakfast is included, basic but nutritious. For the price and location, I thought it was excellent. Highly recommend it.

We left a day early, and they did refund us for it, which was good. The front desk guy was nice, but he charged 25% more than the hotel’s own listed price for a ride to the mall. The rooms were mostly functional, and breakfast was okay. The pool was also okay, though it was falling apart. The neighborhood felt very unwelcoming, and the other guests weren’t great. I wouldn’t recommend it for families.

Rain was the one real hassle: getting to the front desk means crossing an uncovered area. Otherwise, it was a pleasant, comfortable stay. The hotel has two-story villa-style buildings around a courtyard pool, with a charming, slightly old-fashioned resort feel. The location is lively, with shops, restaurants, and a live music venue nearby, yet the hotel was peaceful. Staff were friendly and welcoming. My room was on the small side but clean and comfortable, with fresh bedding and useful amenities like tissues, a hair dryer, and sandals for the pool. I liked that the security box used the room key, simple and easy. The shower hose leaked a little, but the shower still worked fine. During the day, many foreign guests drank beer or relaxed by the pool, and in the morning people sat on chairs outside their rooms. It seemed better suited to adults looking for a resort atmosphere than to children. I was traveling alone and didn’t use the pool, but I liked the vibe. Breakfast was buffet style, nothing special, but perfectly fine.

Breakfast was good, and it was handy being close to the food market and night markets. The rooms are spacious, and there’s a swimming pool. Service was very good for a middle range hotel. Prices were around 50-120 USD.
