TT Hostel

The private room was really bad, tiny and without any windows, so don't book it if you're claustrophobic. The hostel's common area looks okay and they try to make it cozy, but the room was very noisy. During our night there, a huge group of guys made noise all night and into the morning. As a solo woman traveler, I wouldn't recommend it. The bathrooms are mixed, and some of the guys were very weird.

False advertising!!! The breakfast was poor, just a fried egg with bread and potatoes that seemed to have been made days earlier and reheated badly, so they were lukewarm. There was no other option. And the advertised 4-bunk-bed room isn't really its own room. It's actually part of a 12-bed room, divided from the other 8 beds by a half wall, which doesn't stop you hearing everyone. A sliding door connects it to another room with 12 more people, but it can't close fully and is almost always ajar. So the supposed 4-bunk room ends up being a space with more than 20 beds.

The clean hostel had hot showers, comfortable clean beds and a nice, relaxed vibe. What made the stay wonderful, though, was the staff. They were friendly and seemed to genuinely care about making guests feel welcome. They shared useful local tips on where to eat and visit, and went out of their way to help me get correct visa information. Thank you! I had a wonderful stay at TT hostel, Vientiane lao, and would definitely return. I highly recommend staying at TT hostel.

The private room felt quite odd. There were no windows, and a staircase led up to an elevated bed that looked like it might fall at any moment. The old air conditioner had some kind of smell. Mosquitoes got into the room, and you could hear people in the hallway very loudly.
