Riviera Hotel Beirut

The food was fresh and delicious, and the location is very good. Our room was super clean, and the receptionists were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a special vibe, with professional service. I highly recommend staying here.

The location is great, but the building was full of smoke, and I had to leave at 04:AM. There was very loud noise, and all I got about it was “sorry.” My night was ruined. Nice place, but the way they handled it was cheap.

I booked Riviera Hotel in Beirut through Agoda and came away deeply disappointed. The room was dirty, the mattress extremely uncomfortable, and the shower broken. The hotel felt outdated and poorly maintained. Breakfast, advertised as a buffet, was just a few plates set on the table. Even the jacuzzi and some beach chairs cost extra, which felt greedy for a hotel claiming this standard. Staff were cold and unwelcoming, with no real hospitality. The photos and descriptions on Agoda made it look luxurious and comfortable, but the actual stay was the opposite. I trusted the platform to provide accurate information and feel let down. This was one of my worst hotel experiences and has badly shaken my trust in Agoda. I hope they take this seriously, reconsider the listing, or at least make sure future guests aren’t misled.

We felt unwelcome as a family throughout our disappointing stay at Riviera Hotel Beirut. Our children were repeatedly stared at and told they were “too loud,” even when they were just walking around or couldn’t sit still. There were no facilities for kids at all, not even a small slide, swing, or play area. We had booked a Classic Room but received a smaller Standard Room, and staff gave us conflicting explanations that felt misleading. At the pool, it was clear that women in burkinis weren’t welcome. That attitude was discriminatory and unacceptable for a hotel that presents itself as international. The service was poor and biased, and we can’t recommend it as a family hotel.
