We stayed for 5months and will absolutely come back. The hosts are so kind, and the house is peaceful and enjoyable. We’d definitely recommend it if you want a great experience in Sri Lanka 👍👍

We found it relaxing and clean, and the kitchen was great for cooking. The owners were responsive while still giving us space. The fans were adequate, and it worked well for a family getaway. It’s only steps from the beach and bus stop, with several restaurants about 800 meters away.

We had plenty of room in the spacious apartment, and the price felt totally fair. Having the garden right outside was a bonus. Each morning came with birdsong, mongoose sounds, and playful palm squirrels, while the neighbor's dog kept watch at night. We also spotted tree frogs, scorpions, and a praying mantis. A five to ten minute drive inland took us past rice paddies full of peacocks, cows, and buffalo, along with friendly smiling people and beautiful scenery. We were lucky enough to see coconuts being harvested the traditional way, and our host kindly opened one for us. For surfers, there’s plenty to try along the coast, from the beginner beach in Weligama to Ahangama, with spots at different difficulty levels. The family welcomed us with so much kindness, then gave us all the privacy we needed. At first that surprised us, but it was clear privacy mattered to them. Even with our two very lively kids around, they always smiled and never made us feel like a bother. They seemed to anticipate what we needed. Whenever we had a question or a problem, they helped, mediated, or interpreted for us. We’re so grateful to have found this place as a base. Even when we traveled light for two weeks, we could leave most of our belongings here.
