Nature Walk Resort

The room had a lovely view over lots of greenery, and we could hear and see plenty of birds calling early in the morning. The hotel is tucked at the edge of the city, so it feels cosy and quieter. Staff were very friendly and the rooms clean. Just note they provide towels only, with no toiletries for showering or brushing your teeth.

Right in the jungle, with an incredibly beautiful view and a fantastic location. The staff were ready to help with anything at any time, and the food was delicious, made to your wishes and served so kindly it made you feel special. Everything was clean, cosy, and well furnished. A great experience, 100 out of 100. I'd love to come back.

The view from our room was the highlight: we faced the hills, and the balcony looked out over them in the morning. There’s lots of storage and the room was very spacious. For the price, the views around the hotel are hard to beat, and there’s plenty of parking. Just be aware that the road up is steep if you’re driving. We also found there were no lifts, which seems common in Sri Lanka.

We came back for a second stay in Kandy, first in August and again in September. The room was decent for what we paid, and the hotel is up in the greenery, away from Kandy’s awful traffic. From here it’s an easy walk to the lake and town centre, and the Temple of the Tooth is about ten minutes away, though the walk back includes a small hill. There’s a traditional Sinhalese dance venue right next door, plus an interesting gemstone museum and shop. The green hills and Knuckles Mountains look incredible. Staff were friendly and honest. The buffet breakfast, though, was pretty bad.
